Braces Reveal! Braces Journey Pt. 1

DISCLAIMER: Thank you to Updike Orthodontics and Honest Oral Surgeon for sponsoring my braces journey! All opinions are my own.

Hey hey! I have some very exciting news that I wanted to share with you all, so take a look below to see the reveal that!

Up close and personal. These photos are definitely not flattering, but it's the reality of how crowded my teeth actually got. The braces also emphasize it more than I'd like, but it's okay because it's going to change real soon. :)

First day of having braces...AHH.

A gift from the Dr. Updike with some braces essentials, woooh!

This has been in the works for a few months now, and now it is finally time for the announcement! Honestly my mouth is a little sore as I'm typing this, but this is an epic collaboration with Updike Orthodontics!

I am so excited to be working with them, and have included a few photos of their office for you to see. Aside from the beautiful aesthetic office space, the staff is incredible and super helpful, and if you are in the Irvine area, I highly recommend checking them out!

(Photos are from Updike Orthodontics website)

If you didn't know, I used to have braces a looong time ago (about 8 years ago now), but obviously my teeth have shifted because 1) my wisdom teeth grew in and created a lot of crowding in my lower teeth, and 2) I simply did not wear my retainer as often as I should've. After many many years of contemplating whether to get my teeth straightened out again, I decided to do it, and this time I'm doing it RIGHT.

Since I decided to go with the metal braces, there's really no way of hiding it from you, so I'm going to seize the opportunity and turn this into a series on my YouTube channel and blog (hope you don't mind!). You can watch the first part of the series to see the process of me getting my braces on below.

I hope you are just excited as I am! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments as I am going to film a Q&A soon, or any suggestions for braces related content.

Thanks for stopping by!
